Artificial Intelligence in K-12
Empowering 50+ educational institutions
The Educational Innovation Project is a concrete opportunity for school communities within SLEP del Pino to strengthen their digital capabilities, 
take part in an innovative training experience, and gain access to artificial intelligence (AI) tools that enhance their institutional and pedagogical development.
This initiative is part of a long-term international collaboration between Columbia University and OpenAI, in partnership with Tether Education and SLEP del Pino. Its purpose is to understand how educational institutions can effectively and equitably integrate generative AI tools such as ChatGPT—not only to improve school management and communication, but also to foster educational innovation, autonomous learning, and active participation across the entire school community.

TetherEd is proud to collaborate with JUNJI*, Chile to enable a more efficient, transparent, and equitable access to early childhood education in Chile.

Since 2024, our team has worked closely with JUNJI* to support the launch of a national digital enrollment platform, simplifying applications and admissions for families across the country.
In July, the platform was successfully launched in pilot regions, providing families with streamlined access to over 3,000 public pre-kindergartens. Following this milestone, the program is set to scale nationwide over the next year.

Higher Education Access
TetherEd collaborates with ATENEA (Bogotá) to support equitable access to higher education through the Jóvenes a la E program.
The initiative delivers real-time, personalized application feedback, including risk alerts, program recommendations, and dynamic guidance, helping students make better-informed decisions during the application process.
Using multi-channel delivery — including WhatsApp — the platform reduces uncertainty, improves application outcomes, and supports student retention. The project also incorporates impact evaluation, building on prior evidence that personalized information significantly increases successful assignment and alignment with student preferences.

Since 2024, TetherEd has partnered with New Haven Public Schools (Connecticut) to support a district-wide school choice and enrollment system serving families across the city.
Our work includes a Virtual School Explorer, admission probability simulations, personalized application feedback, and an AI-powered virtual assistant, helping families better understand their options, avoid application mistakes, and navigate the enrollment process with confidence.
In addition, TetherEd supported schools through integrated digital communication and engagement tools, combining enrollment infrastructure with content, analytics, and community-facing solutions.

International Research Project — Barcelona
TetherEd is powering an evidence-based educational guidance platform as part of an international research initiative led by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and Yale-affiliated researchers.
The platform centralizes highly granular, personalized information to support better educational decisions—helping students navigate program options, admission probabilities, and long-term outcomes such as completion and employability.
This project is being implemented with public education authorities and schools in Barcelona, reinforcing TetherEd’s role as a trusted technology partner at the intersection of AI, research, and education policy.
